Scriptures
Torah Parshat Lech-Lecha, 2nd Portion (Bereshit (Genesis) 12:14-13:4)

Genesis 12:14-13:4
English Standard Version
14 When Abram entered Egypt, the Egyptians saw that the woman was very beautiful. 15 And when the princes of Pharaoh saw her, they praised her to Pharaoh. And the woman was taken into Pharaoh's house. 16 And for her sake he dealt well with Abram; and he had sheep, oxen, male donkeys, male servants, female servants, female donkeys, and camels.
17 But the Lord afflicted Pharaoh and his house with great plagues because of Sarai, Abram's wife. 18 So Pharaoh called Abram and said, “What is this you have done to me? Why did you not tell me that she was your wife? 19 Why did you say, ‘She is my sister,’ so that I took her for my wife? Now then, here is your wife; take her, and go.” 20 And Pharaoh gave men orders concerning him, and they sent him away with his wife and all that he had.

Genesis 13
Abram and Lot Separate
1 So Abram went up from Egypt, he and his wife and all that he had, and Lot with him, into the Negeb.
2 Now Abram was very rich in livestock, in silver, and in gold. 3 And he journeyed on from the Negeb as far as Bethel to the place where his tent had been at the beginning, between Bethel and Ai, 4 to the place where he had made an altar at the first. And there Abram called upon the name of the Lord.

WWCF Readings
Micah 4-6

Micah 6

English Standard Version
The Indictment of the Lord
1 Hear what the Lord says: Arise, plead your case before the mountains, and let the hills hear your voice.
2 Hear, you mountains, the indictment of the Lord, and you enduring foundations of the earth,
for the Lord has an indictment against his people, and he will contend with Israel.
3 “O my people, what have I done to you? How have I wearied you? Answer me!
4 For I brought you up from the land of Egypt and redeemed you from the house of slavery,
and I sent before you Moses, Aaron, and Miriam.
5 O my people, remember what Balak king of Moab devised, and what Balaam the son of Beor answered him, and what happened from Shittim to Gilgal, that you may know the righteous acts of the Lord.”
What Does the Lord Require?
6 “With what shall I come before the Lord, and bow myself before God on high?
Shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves a year old?
7 Will the Lord be pleased with[a] thousands of rams, with ten thousands of rivers of oil?
Shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?”
8 He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you
but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?

Bible in A Year
Habakkuk 1-3:19; Titus 2; Proverbs 26:3-12

Habakkuk 2
English Standard Version
1 I will take my stand at my watch post and station myself on the tower,
and look out to see what he will say to me, and what I will answer concerning my complaint.
The Righteous Shall Live by His Faith
2 And the Lord answered me: “Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it.
3 For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie.
If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay.

4 “Behold, his soul is puffed up; it is not upright within him, but the righteous shall live by his faith.
5 “Moreover, wine[b] is a traitor, an arrogant man who is never at rest.[c]
His greed is as wide as Sheol; like death he has never enough.
He gathers for himself all nations and collects as his own all peoples.”

Habakkuk 3
Habakkuk Rejoices in the Lord
17 Though the fig tree should not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines,
the produce of the olive fail and the fields yield no food,
the flock be cut off from the fold and there be no herd in the stalls,
18 yet I will rejoice in the Lord; I will take joy in the God of my salvation.
19 God, the Lord, is my strength; he makes my feet like the deer's;
he makes me tread on my high places.

To the choirmaster: with stringed[d] instruments.

Titus 2
English Standard Version
Teach Sound Doctrine
1 But as for you, teach what accords with sound[a] doctrine. 2 Older men are to be sober-minded, dignified, self-controlled, sound in faith, in love, and in steadfastness. 3 Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, 4 and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, 5 to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled. 6 Likewise, urge the younger men to be self-controlled. 7 Show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works, and in your teaching show integrity, dignity, 8 and sound speech that cannot be condemned, so that an opponent may be put to shame, having nothing evil to say about us. 9 Bondservants[b] are to be submissive to their own masters in everything; they are to be well-pleasing, not argumentative, 10 not pilfering, but showing all good faith, so that in everything they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior.
11 For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, 12 training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, 13 waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, 14 who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.
15 Declare these things; exhort and rebuke with all authority. Let no one disregard you.

Proverbs 26:3-12

English Standard Version
3 A whip for the horse, a bridle for the donkey, and a rod for the back of fools.
4 Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest you be like him yourself.
5 Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own eyes.
6 Whoever sends a message by the hand of a fool cuts off his own feet and drinks violence.
7 Like a lame man's legs, which hang useless, is a proverb in the mouth of fools.
8 Like one who binds the stone in the sling is one who gives honor to a fool.
9 Like a thorn that goes up into the hand of a drunkard is a proverb in the mouth of fools.
10 Like an archer who wounds everyone is one who hires a passing fool or drunkard.
11 Like a dog that returns to his vomit is a fool who repeats his folly.
12 Do you see a man who is wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him.

Observation
In Micah GOD commands HIS people to walk humbly before HIM, to execute justice, to do what is right, and this is what GOD requires for all HIS people. Not with Tithes and Offerings, or with acts of serving GOD or charities just to "Appease" GOD but to do what is right. Many people have this idea that they can bribe GOD or can sin in a specific area and give big tithes in exchange for disobedience. This cannot be, for we cannot mock GOD, whatever we sow, we will reap and so we have to be very careful everyday to listen to GOD's voice and know what it is in our lives that are still offensive to HIM. In Habakkuk, this prophet receives a vision from GOD that has not come to pass, and he waits and waits and stands on his watch to see this vision come to pass for it has an appointed time. But even as he waits, Habakkuk still rejoiced in GOD even in waiting, even when he doesn't see anything happening. There was a profound joy and hope in his heart because he trusted and believed in GOD.

Application
I want to always prioritize my GOD first thing in the morning by devoting myself to HIM, to spend time with HIM in the WORD, to hear what HE has to say to me, in prayer, to speak to HIM all that is in my heart, to be silent so that I can hear the still small voice of the HOLY SPIRIT speaking to me because many times, we are distracted from reading the WORD of GOD that it is not enough to seek GOD with it, GOD is everywhere and can speak to us even beyond HIS word but it is HIS WORD that confirms all that we receive in the Spirit. In Habakkuk I want to keep waiting on GOD by watching and praying with joy and hope just as Habakkuk did. I want to always hear GOD because it is HIS voice that makes me strong and steadfast, and it is HIS love that secures and comforts me. I want to follow what GOD said through Micah, to do what is just and right and to walk humbly before GOD, I want GOD to be pleased and happy with me so that I will always be victorious in the world. This world is difficult in any case and we should never rely on anything in this world but GOD alone.

Prayers
Dear AVI,
O HOLY ONE of Israel, GREAT are YOU O LORD, HOLY is YOUR Name!!! Thank YOU for everything YOU are doing for answering my prayers for the company and for people, thank YOU for always taking care of me, and all my dogs, keeping them healthy and strong. Thank YOU for Antoine and Kyle, and I pray that YOU deal with every heart in this household, help us to be humble before YOU, especially my parents, I pray that YOU will give me peace in the situations that disturbs me when I lift up every concern to YOU and every person that I am not happy with, I pray that YOU deal with them and that they will be humble O LORD for I am as opposed to pride just as YOU are and I pray that YOU help me to deal with every situation with grace and wisdom because YOU are my GOD and YOU are in full control of me. I pray for healing for the sick, and salvation of their souls: Manuela Ugaddan, Raymund Cal, Predo Ordoyo, Michael Placencia and Janie Rose Gulfan. I pray that YOU humble my mother and help her to be submissive and not dominant towards my father and everyone around her. I pray that YOUR grace and favor be upon me O GOD, forgive me of any pride and any sin because I fall short of YOUR Glory but I come before YOU because of JESUS who has saved me and whose blood has made me righteous. I come before YOU a daughter pleading for YOU to give me a good man who will make me his wife and mother of his children. I plead because YOU have not given me yet, so I pray that YOU prepare me to be a mother and a wife, and to be a helpmate who will be the happiest doing the calling of my husband's life because YOU have chosen us for one another. I pray that this man will love YOU more than himself and more than anything in his life. I pray that he will be obedient and enduring and have been asking YOU for a wife and waiting for me too and that we both will do great things for YOU. I pray that we will both recognize one another right away but let him see me first O GOD, I pray bring us together right now, because YOUR coming is so near and we have work to do for YOU O GOD Almighty, prepare us for the work, help us to be equipped and align our hearts and lives to YOUR will and purpose for our lives I pray we will bear fruit for YOU. O GOD let YOUR kingdom come and let YOUR will be done for us and all that we do and everything and everyone connected to us here on earth as it is in heaven! For YOU deserve all the praise, all the glory, all the honor, all the thanksgiving, all the credit belongs to YOU O GOD Almighty.

In the Name of YESHUA KING of Glory! Amen!
