Hosea 11
ESV
8 How can I give you up, O Ephraim? How can I hand you over, O Israel? How can I make you like Admah? How can I treat you like Zeboiim? My heart recoils within me;
my compassion grows warm and tender.
9 I will not execute my burning anger; I will not again destroy Ephraim;
for I am God and not a man, the Holy One in your midst, and I will not come in wrath.[c]
10 They shall go after the Lord; he will roar like a lion; when he roars,
his children shall come trembling from the west;
11 they shall come trembling like birds from Egypt, and like doves from the land of Assyria,
and I will return them to their homes, declares the Lord.
12 [d] Ephraim has surrounded me with lies, and the house of Israel with deceit,
but Judah still walks with God and is faithful to the Holy One.
Hosea 12
The Lord's Indictment of Israel and Judah
2 The Lord has an indictment against Judah and will punish Jacob according to his ways;
he will repay him according to his deeds.
3 In the womb he took his brother by the heel, and in his manhood he strove with God.
4 He strove with the angel and prevailed; he wept and sought his favor.
He met God[a] at Bethel, and there God spoke with us—
5 the Lord, the God of hosts, the Lord is his memorial name:
6 “So you, by the help of your God, return, hold fast to love and justice, and wait continually for your God.”
1 Timothy 4

Some Will Depart from the Faith
1 Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons, 2 through the insincerity of liars whose consciences are seared, 3 who forbid marriage and require abstinence from foods that God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. 4 For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, 5 for it is made holy by the word of God and prayer.
A Good Servant of Christ Jesus
6 If you put these things before the brothers,[a] you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, being trained in the words of the faith and of the good doctrine that you have followed. 7 Have nothing to do with irreverent, silly myths. Rather train yourself for godliness; 8 for while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come. 9 The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance. 10 For to this end we toil and strive,[b] because we have our hope set on the living God, who is the Savior of all people, especially of those who believe.
11 Command and teach these things. 12 Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity. 13 Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to exhortation, to teaching. 14 Do not neglect the gift you have, which was given you by prophecy when the council of elders laid their hands on you. 15 Practice these things, immerse yourself in them,[c] so that all may see your progress. 16 Keep a close watch on yourself and on the teaching. Persist in this, for by so doing you will save both yourself and your hearers.
Proverbs 25:11-20
English Standard Version
11 A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in a setting of silver.
12 Like a gold ring or an ornament of gold is a wise reprover to a listening ear.
13 Like the cold of snow in the time of harvest is a faithful messenger to those who send him;
he refreshes the soul of his masters.
14 Like clouds and wind without rain is a man who boasts of a gift he does not give.
15 With patience a ruler may be persuaded, and a soft tongue will break a bone.
16 If you have found honey, eat only enough for you, lest you have your fill of it and vomit it.
17 Let your foot be seldom in your neighbor's house, lest he have his fill of you and hate you.
18 A man who bears false witness against his neighbor is like a war club, or a sword, or a sharp arrow.
19 Trusting in a treacherous man in time of trouble is like a bad tooth or a foot that slips.
20 Whoever sings songs to a heavy heart is like one who takes off a garment on a cold day,
and like vinegar on soda.

Noah and the Flood
9 These are the generations of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his generation. Noah walked with God. 10 And Noah had three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
11 Now the earth was corrupt in God's sight, and the earth was filled with violence. 12 And God saw the earth, and behold, it was corrupt, for all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth. 13 And God said to Noah, “I have determined to make an end of all flesh,[a] for the earth is filled with violence through them. Behold, I will destroy them with the earth. 14 Make yourself an ark of gopher wood.[b] Make rooms in the ark, and cover it inside and out with pitch. 15 This is how you are to make it: the length of the ark 300 cubits,[c] its breadth 50 cubits, and its height 30 cubits. 16 Make a roof[d] for the ark, and finish it to a cubit above, and set the door of the ark in its side. Make it with lower, second, and third decks. 17 For behold, I will bring a flood of waters upon the earth to destroy all flesh in which is the breath of life under heaven. Everything that is on the earth shall die. 18 But I will establish my covenant with you, and you shall come into the ark, you, your sons, your wife, and your sons' wives with you. 19 And of every living thing of all flesh, you shall bring two of every sort into the ark to keep them alive with you. They shall be male and female. 20 Of the birds according to their kinds, and of the animals according to their kinds, of every creeping thing of the ground, according to its kind, two of every sort shall come in to you to keep them alive. 21 Also take with you every sort of food that is eaten, and store it up. It shall serve as food for you and for them.” 22 Noah did this; he did all that God commanded him.

Hosea 10-12
Hosea 10
English Standard Version
1 Israel is a luxuriant vine that yields its fruit. The more his fruit increased, the more altars he built; as his country improved, he improved his pillars.
2 Their heart is false; now they must bear their guilt. The Lord[a] will break down their altars
and destroy their pillars.
3 For now they will say: “We have no king, for we do not fear the Lord;
and a king—what could he do for us?”
4 They utter mere words; with empty[b] oaths they make covenants;
so judgment springs up like poisonous weeds in the furrows of the field.
5 The inhabitants of Samaria tremble for the calf[c] of Beth-aven. Its people mourn for it, and so do its idolatrous priests—those who rejoiced over it and over its glory—for it has departed[d] from them.
6 The thing itself shall be carried to Assyria as tribute to the great king.[e]
Ephraim shall be put to shame, and Israel shall be ashamed of his idol.[f]

Observation
In Hosea, GOD is angry at HIS people because when GOD blessed them, they forgot GOD, they were dependent on their blessings, the luxury that they enjoy, thinking they will always have such luxury. They began worshipping the wrong gods, and departed from fearing the GOD who saved them out of Egypt. It is a dreadful thing to forget about GOD, how easily man could deceive himself thinking they build altars to "please" god but they are deceived because they do things out of their own and they no longer hold themselves accountable to what GOD truly wants them to do. They just think that in building altars they please the GOD who has blessed them, but man so easily deceived themselves thinking they worship GOD when they worship themselves in reality, not GOD because they go ahead doing what they feel is right without seeking, without understanding. So in reality they say in their hearts "We have no king" no one should rule us, we do what we want.
Application
I should be to check my heart, my motives, my mind, and lay myself accountable to GOD at all things, because HE is truth and it is HIM who truly searches our inner thoughts, things we are not aware of, HE can bring them to light, HE can make us aware of it if we are willing to be exposed, if we are willing to know what really is going on in our heart of hearts. I pray that the LORD will always reveal HIMSELF to me, the truth of me, the truth of everything that I do things, the truth that is hard to accept. I know my inner motive of marriage, I want to have my own family. I don't want my present family to take me for granted, and think I will always be there, they devalue me because I am not married, they make me feel low. I don't want to be there for them all the time because GOD can take away HIS grace from us at anytime when we are proud and I believe my parents are proud of what GOD has blessed them with, the give to the church to charity, to people thinking GOD is pleased but just like Israel they do not know that they do things out of their own will. I don't want to be a part of things that I did not decide on, I don't want to suffer the consequences they face for doing their own way but GOD put me here not so I could be at war against them but to remind them what it means to follow GOD.
