15 Then Pharisees and scribes came to Jesus from Jerusalem and said, 2 “Why do your disciples break the tradition of the elders? For they do not wash their hands when they eat.” 3 He answered them, “And why do you break the commandment of God for the sake of your tradition? 4 For God commanded, ‘Honor your father and your mother,’ and, ‘Whoever reviles father or mother must surely die.’ 5 But you say, ‘If anyone tells his father or his mother, “What you would have gained from me is given to God,”[f] 6 he need not honor his father.’ So for the sake of your tradition you have made void the word[g] of God. 7 You hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy of you, when he said:
8 “‘This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me;
9 in vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’”
What Defiles a Person
10 And he called the people to him and said to them, “Hear and understand: 11 it is not what goes into the mouth that defiles a person, but what comes out of the mouth; this defiles a person.” 12 Then the disciples came and said to him, “Do you know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this saying?” 13 He answered, “Every plant that my heavenly Father has not planted will be rooted up. 14 Let them alone; they are blind guides.[h] And if the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a pit.” 15 But Peter said to him, “Explain the parable to us.” 16 And he said, “Are you also still without understanding? 17 Do you not see that whatever goes into the mouth passes into the stomach and is expelled?[i] 18 But what comes out of the mouth proceeds from the heart, and this defiles a person. 19 For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false witness, slander. 20 These are what defile a person. But to eat with unwashed hands does not defile anyone.”
The Faith of a Canaanite Woman
21 And Jesus went away from there and withdrew to the district of Tyre and Sidon. 22 And behold, a Canaanite woman from that region came out and was crying, “Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David; my daughter is severely oppressed by a demon.” 23 But he did not answer her a word. And his disciples came and begged him, saying, “Send her away, for she is crying out after us.” 24 He answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” 25 But she came and knelt before him, saying, “Lord, help me.” 26 And he answered, “It is not right to take the children's bread and throw it to the dogs.” 27 She said, “Yes, Lord, yet even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters' table.” 28 Then Jesus answered her, “O woman, great is your faith! Let it be done for you as you desire.” And her daughter was healed instantly.[j]

Peter Confesses Jesus as the Christ
13 Now when Jesus came into the district of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say that the Son of Man is?” 14 And they said, “Some say John the Baptist, others say Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” 15 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” 16 Simon Peter replied, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” 17 And Jesus answered him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven. 18 And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock[l] I will build my church, and the gates of hell[m] shall not prevail against it. 19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed[n] in heaven.” 20 Then he strictly charged the disciples to tell no one that he was the Christ.
Jesus Foretells His Death and Resurrection
21 From that time Jesus began to show his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and on the third day be raised. 22 And Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him, saying, “Far be it from you, Lord![o] This shall never happen to you.” 23 But he turned and said to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan! You are a hindrance[p] to me. For you are not setting your mind on the things of God, but on the things of man.”
Take Up Your Cross and Follow Jesus
24 Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. 25 For whoever would save his life[q] will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. 26 For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul? 27 For the Son of Man is going to come with his angels in the glory of his Father, and then he will repay each person according to what he has done. 28 Truly, I say to you, there are some standing here who will not taste death until they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom.”

10 Then the servant took ten of his master's camels and departed, taking all sorts of choice gifts from his master; and he arose and went to Mesopotamia[a] to the city of Nahor. 11 And he made the camels kneel down outside the city by the well of water at the time of evening, the time when women go out to draw water. 12 And he said, “O Lord, God of my master Abraham, please grant me success today and show steadfast love to my master Abraham. 13 Behold, I am standing by the spring of water, and the daughters of the men of the city are coming out to draw water. 14 Let the young woman to whom I shall say, ‘Please let down your jar that I may drink,’ and who shall say, ‘Drink, and I will water your camels’—let her be the one whom you have appointed for your servant Isaac. By this[b] I shall know that you have shown steadfast love to my master.”
15 Before he had finished speaking, behold, Rebekah, who was born to Bethuel the son of Milcah, the wife of Nahor, Abraham's brother, came out with her water jar on her shoulder. 16 The young woman was very attractive in appearance, a maiden[c] whom no man had known. She went down to the spring and filled her jar and came up. 17 Then the servant ran to meet her and said, “Please give me a little water to drink from your jar.” 18 She said, “Drink, my lord.” And she quickly let down her jar upon her hand and gave him a drink. 19 When she had finished giving him a drink, she said, “I will draw water for your camels also, until they have finished drinking.” 20 So she quickly emptied her jar into the trough and ran again to the well to draw water, and she drew for all his camels. 21 The man gazed at her in silence to learn whether the Lord had prospered his journey or not.
22 When the camels had finished drinking, the man took a gold ring weighing a half shekel,[d] and two bracelets for her arms weighing ten gold shekels, 23 and said, “Please tell me whose daughter you are. Is there room in your father's house for us to spend the night?” 24 She said to him, “I am the daughter of Bethuel the son of Milcah, whom she bore to Nahor.” 25 She added, “We have plenty of both straw and fodder, and room to spend the night.” 26 The man bowed his head and worshiped the Lord

19 Therefore, brothers,[a] since we have confidence to enter the holy places by the blood of Jesus, 20 by the new and living way that he opened for us through the curtain, that is, through his flesh, 21 and since we have a great priest over the house of God, 22 let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
26 For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27 but a fearful expectation of judgment, and a fury of fire that will consume the adversaries. 28 Anyone who has set aside the law of Moses dies without mercy on the evidence of two or three witnesses. 29 How much worse punishment, do you think, will be deserved by the one who has trampled underfoot the Son of God, and has profaned the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has outraged the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know him who said, “Vengeance is mine; I will repay.” And again, “The Lord will judge his people.” 31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
32 But recall the former days when, after you were enlightened, you endured a hard struggle with sufferings, 33 sometimes being publicly exposed to reproach and affliction, and sometimes being partners with those so treated. 34 For you had compassion on those in prison, and you joyfully accepted the plundering of your property, since you knew that you yourselves had a better possession and an abiding one. 35 Therefore do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. 36 For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised. 37 For,
“Yet a little while, and the coming one will come and will not delay;
38 but my righteous one shall live by faith, and if he shrinks back,
my soul has no pleasure in him.”
39 But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who have faith and preserve their souls.

Observation
I so love the story of Genesis 24 when Abraham sent his servant Eleazer to find him a wife for his son Isaac and though it was a difficult thing to do, so that Eleazer prayed to the GOD of Abraham to help him, Eleazar experienced GOD's presence in his journey for that "almost impossible" assignment that Abraham left for him to do. Eleazar saw how GOD answered Abraham and his prayer for his son Isaac when he prayed in line with GOD's will and saw the hand of GOD over his journey. Abraham had faith and brought Eleazar to a place of faith with him. And in the same story of faith, in Matthew 15 was a Canaanite (Gentile) woman whose faith was greater than any son of Israel that she impressed GOD so much that JESUS praised her for it. I see here clearly how much faith pleases GOD but it is not about twisting the hand of GOD but pleasing HIM with faith.
Application
Yes we all want something great to happen in our lives, I pray for it every single day, I pray for GOD to give me a man of GOD who loves him and loves me and adores me, and will take care of me like GOD takes care of me. And I wish my parents had blessed me enough as Abraham did so that he would send his servant to look for a bride for Isaac to marry, but even though I am the only one praying and believing for a man of GOD who pleases him too, I believe GOD is merciful to me, for even though my parents have forsaken me and looked after their own selfish greed, GOD will never forsake me HE will never fail me, HE will never lack to supply what I need, HE is working everything for my good, HE is molding me and preparing me to receive what I have been believing in faith HE give to me and HE would do for me.
Prayers
Dear ABBA,
O GOD Almighty, Blessed are YOU YESHUA LORD Sovereign over all, KING of the Universe!!! I look to YOU O GOD, I look to YOU, I cling to YOU O GOD, I cling to YOU, for YOU are a merciful GOD and YOU will not look away from YOUR people who are needing YOU, who are crying out in their hearts to YOU, O GOD I am depending on YOU to provide for me, to give to me what I have been asking of from YOU, and YOU will give it to me in YOUR own beautiful time for it is perfect. O GOD, help me to endure and to keep believing in YOUR WORD and set my heart, my gaze towards YOUR will for me, towards JESUS who is always leading me and my husband until YOU bring us together into YOUR perfect will O GOD, do not forget me and all the confidence that I have put in YOU. I praise YOU and thank YOU for the good health for the healing for me and my loved ones. I pray continually for healing, for dealings toward the proud and unsubimissive, do not allow the proud and the unsubmissive to sin more against YOU, restrain the works of the enemy in our lives. I pray O GOD healing, salvation and deliverance upon Manuela Ugaddan, Raymond Cal, Predo Ordoyo, Michael Placencia and Janie Rose Gulfan, I pray O GOD that YOU touch these people and let them surrender to YOU, even my mother GOD let her surrender to YOU, help her O GOD not to hurt my father anymore. I pray O GOD that YOU help my father, heal him from the depths of his soul and take care of him and speak to him and my mother and heal them within, O GOD, make them holy and pleasing to YOU O GOD have mercy on us all. I pray that my husband will recognize me, will pursue me, love me and win my heart and family, that YOU will bless our relationship and give us a family to build with. YOU are giving me a hope and a future O GOD, so help me to walk by faith and I pray healing for Sheila help her to follow YOUR will and cause her to be humble and surrender all things to YOU. Please correct and mold all our workers to fear YOU, to honro YOU the true and living GOD to walk with YOU, to give their lives to YOU, I pray that YOU deal with Anacel and provide for us a new book keeper who we can be confident to help us with our Accounting O GOD, please provide everything for us, please JESUS help my family. I pray O GOD help us, take care of us. I pray O GOD be merciful to us, I pray O GOD that YOUR love and shekinah presence be with me once again, fill me, make me joyful and peaceful and powerful because YOU are the GOD who keeps me and enables me to do all things for the glory of JESUS through the HOLY SPIRIT who is at work within me and my husband. O GOD, please prepare me to lead people to worship YOU every Sunday, Asher, and Joy and all those who will be singing with me, prepare us O GOD, help us O GOD. For YOU alone are GOD who we look to, who we need, who we are depending on, and YOU are the GOD who deserve all our praise, all our worship, all our hearts, lives and strength, YOU alone O GOD be glorified over us.
